Its that time of year when Stampin up have a Saleabration. For every $90 you spend on any product you will earn a free stamp set, double role of ribbons or a pack of Designer Series paper.
They are fabulous to colour in with pencil, ink, sponging, brayering, splattering...
The first card I made is really simple.
Using the water colour pencils (new in the Ocassions Catalogue) I just coloured in the dragonfly image using all the brightest rainbow colours: daffodil delight, pumpkin pie, Real Red, Melon Mambo, Rich Razzleberry and Pacific Point.
Stamped the dotty image from the "Dragon fly Dreams" set top and bottom of the page and adhered it to the base of Bermuda Bay card.
Stamp the sentiment from "Dragonfly Dreams" - Enjoy Your Special Day - on a flag of white cardstock and adhere with dimensionals.
Just saying i have never been a fan of colouring-in as such, but what i do love is a little water colouring.
And this set of watercolour pencils makes it too easy. A bit of light pencil colouring (within the lines)... To make it more interesting you can blend the yellow and orange pencil strokes on the paper.
Then lightly brush the colour with water, Ive used an aqua painter pen, which instantly blends the pencil lines into watercolouring!
What i love about the photopolymer stamps is that you can bend them to gently swirl the words to suggest movement. I am not much of an artist but i feel like one when I'm using all these pretty colours and watching how the water mixes two colours together as you paint. It's pretty amazing how it comes out.
So how do you get to earn this pack of black and white designs?
In order to make these three cards you will need:Dragon fly dreams stampset $36.50
