Who won the Sunday challenge at Crafters Anonymous?

Do you remember the Never ending card I made recently?
I entered it in the Sunday Lift the flap Challenge on Crafters anonymous.
And guess who won ???
The best part was that I won a lovely hand made gift  by Jenny Adams using some beautiful Stampin' Up products.
It was so exciting to go to the post office to pick up my parcel and find a beautifully hand-made card, bag and box inside.
The boxes both contained CHOCOLATE!!!
The sewing box features the beautiful Sew Suite patterned paper on the top and around the edges of the box.
The edge is decorated with pom pom ribbon in Melon Mambo.
And the Melon Mambo pink button is so lovely in real life... even the tissue paper is hand-stamped.
I am going to have to CASE these boxes ... now I will just have to go out and buy another block of that Lindt chocolate that fits so perfectly inside.

Every Moment gift box - water colour crayons and stazon ink

Ever have a project that is half done but just takes for ever to finish...
This little box is part of a project from the Regional training I went to last year. I finally watercoloured the little bird and made a tag for my gift box.
I have watercoloured this little bird using my water colour crayons.
The colours are soft suede, old olive, marina mist and Pacific point. I may have dabbed some Baja Breeze crayon in there too.
Water colouring with your aquapainter and water colour crayons is just the quickest way to colour in one of these line art images. No mess, no water dishes, no mixing paint or plastic pallettes.
I simply held the crayon in one hand and wiped my aquapainter brush tip over the crayon (to pick up the colour) and placed it on the paper, within the lines...
In watercolouring you can use layers of watercolour to build up several tones to the depth of colour you want.
The tag is simply a rectangle of baja breeze cardstock with three corners rounded off with the "corner rounder" punch. Then I've placed a "lots of tags" shape in soft suede cardstock behind it.
The sentiment is from the Every moment stampset and i have stamped off the butterfly once to give a soft texture behind the black stazon words.
Notice that spattering of soft suede?
It is meant to be there!
I learned a new trick the other day - you can get this effect with a spritzer tool,
Or, you can hold your aqua painter a few centimetres away from the paper and flick ink ... I tapped the pen on my finger and let it splatter on the cardstock...
...just use a large piece of paper beneath you to catch any stray splatters.
Project Recipe:
Big shot, Fancy favour die, lots of tags sizzlit die.
Stampset: Every Moment $25.95 Clear. $31.95 wood. p72.

Neutrals (10) $37.95 p.142 (IB&C2011)

Smile: Every moment scrapbook page

Almost at the end of showing you my regional training projects from the Make and take...
I really enjoyed this little 6x6" scrap page ... very simple, only a minimum of stamping and a few punches, the butterfly had already been die cut for us by SU staff (using the Big shot machine). so all we had to do was stamp and assemble. You have probably guessed I am a 12x12 " scrapper ... well my albums are the standard size so here is how I up-sized it to make a larger page.
The Original page is in Baja breeze textured cardstock so I layered it onto a sheet of Concord Crush, stamped with the Every Moments daisy and a few butterflies in the background.
I've punched a few extra Old Olive 1 3/4" circles and some white scallop edging to the photo to tie it all in.
Note the butterfly almost matches the colour of Jessie's school uniform.
This photo was taken in March 2010... she has lost almost all her front teeth this year, I am so glad I took this photo of her with her front teeth in tact. I think that front right hand one was a bit wobbly.
And that butterfly - it is cut witht the Large Beautiful butterflies Bigz die (check out page154 of the IB&C) from riding hood red textured cardstock. We sponged the edges, stamped the sentiment then used the paper piercer and the mat pack to dot some swirls (you can just see in the picture above).
And look I journalled!!! I know I usually just cant stand my hand writing so I stick with the essential date, place and names, but it was late at night, I was thinking how proud we are of our little sweet girl this year especially... and so I just free styled the writing and stuck it in place with out a digital font in sight.
 Scrap book page Recipe:
Stamp: Every Moment page 72, $25.95 clear mounted.
Cardstock: Baja breeze textured,Old Olive textured, whisper white, Riding hood red textured, Soft suede textured, Concord Crush textured.
Ink: Baja breeze, Riding hood Red (for sponging), White craft ink.
Whisper white 1/8" tafetta ribbon, Paper piercing tool, mat pack, scallop edge punch, 1 3/4" circle punch, paper snips, Big shot, Beautiful butterflies Bigz die, timeless type alphabet die, sponge daubers, stamp a ma jig, stamping dimensional foam, Stampin write marker basic black.

Red daisy "Every Moment" card

Sharing another card that we made with the "Every Moment" stampset (at Regional training).
It is stamped in black stazon ink, water coloured with Riding Hood Red ink and a touch of Old Olive for the stem.
Then the highlighting is done with the signo white gel pen (it looks like sunlight glinting off the petals).
We made the grass using the scallop border punch:
Punch it once then slide the punch a smidgen to the right and punch again so you cut the grass in uneven half pointy bits... I know more pictures, less talk...
But don't you love that Old Olive thin taffeta ribbon?
My sentiment is stamped on a circle of velum to give a transparent "moon" behind the daisy.
And we stamped the front and back of the envelope too.
Card Recipe:
Stampset: Every Moment. (Page72) $31.95 wood, $25.95 clear mounted.
Baja Breeze textured cardstock; (7.6x15.2cm) folded in half.

Every Moment card ... when we see

"When we see with our hearts,
every moment is the most wonderful gift in the world."
That's the sentiment on the first card we made in our make and take at Regional training.
We watercoloured the yellow daisies (it was fairly quick) and we talked and shared ink and tools...
What do you think of this one?
The daisies are on stampin' up water colour paper, stamped with black stazon.
We tore the edge of the water colour paper - always a great sylish look!

The second daisy is masked, so that the other daisies appear to sit behind it. Then accented with a small half backed pearl.
And to finish it off we spattered it with soft suede ink using a Colour spritzer tool.
All products used are Stampin up supplies:
Watercolour paper 10.5 x8cm
Old Olive, very vanilla and soft suede (textured cardstock)
Ink: Daffodil Delight, Old Olive, soft suede, Jet Black StazOn and a soft suede marker.
Daffodil Delight 3/8" taffeta ribbon,Old Olive 1/8" taffeta ribbon, Pearl basic Jewels, Clip assortment, Aqua painter, colour spritzer tool, Scallop edge border punch, paper snips and Stamp-a-ma-jig.
