Nature's nest ... watercolouring

Sharing this little turtle card... from Natures nest. The turtle is so easy to watercolour and he shines very nicely with a little crystal effects and dazzling diamonds applied to his eye and shell.
What I used to make this card:
Ink: black stazon, kiwi kiss classic ink pad, versamark.
Cardstock: kiwi kiss, whisper white, baja breeze.
Designer series paper: kiwi kiss patterns.
Stampset: Nature's nest
Wheel: Forever flowers
Other: 2 way glue pen, dazzling diamonds, aquapainter, corner rounder.
Here is my second watercoloured card: I think the little turtle looks like he is coming up for air.
So the background stamping is from Inspired by nature, the patterned paper is baja breeze - does it look like bubbles rising?
What I have used:
Stampsets: nature's nest, inspired by nature
Ink: stazon, kiwi kiss.
Cardstock: kiwi kiss, baja breeze textured and baja breeze patterns.
Other: aquapainter and corner rounder.
I ask myself - What's missing?
A piece of ribbon and a happy birthday sentiment !

Great friends in pink pirouette and chocolate.

The chocolate chip cardstock is clear embossed for the background using versamark and clear embossing powder and the forever flowers wheel.
I have then stamped the wheel in rose red up the right handside of the pink pirouette cardstock.

Do you love this little butterfly? I could put it on every card I make .... it is lovely with a piece of vellum attached on top with a pink brad.

The ribbon is striped grosgrain in pink pirouette and just tied in a loose knot before wrapping arond the raised (on dimensionals) card.I have stamped the leaves on the left hand side with Regal rose and the sentiment in rose red, also raised on dimensionals. My daughter (still home on holidays) said she liked the butterfly but it wasnt sparkly enough so offered to get the additional sparkly bits for me.
Stampset: Great friend, Forever flowers wheel.
Cardstock: Chocolate chip, pink pirouette, whisper white.
Ink: Rose red, regal rose, versamark.
Ribbon: pink pirouette wide striped grosgrain.
Other: pink brad and diamontes.

Forever Flowers and a Sketch Challenge

We have had a few days of rain and overcast skies, so you will see why my photos and colours are a little duller than usual ...But I am still card making, at night, because I can enjoy the quiet of the house and seem to get a lot more stamping done when all else are in bed.
I have used a wheel to stamp the flowers. Firstly inking up the wheel in pale plum, then rolling the edge of the wheel over the darker Perfect plum ink pad, then diagonally stamping it across the whisper white cardstock. You dont have to worry about whether the wheel is running straight that way and you get less of a linear effect. Then, I put some crystal effects on each of the flower centres (You can only just see it in the photo?) and dusted them with dazzling diamonds glitter. This is my response to a challenge called mojomonday.blogspot.com (week78).
It is inspired by http://www.makeeshabyl.com.au/ ... who puts one up every Monday (0r thereabouts). Its a great idea for cardmakers and scrapbookers to make a project when their creativity is a bit low, or they are feeling overwelmed by their own busy life, or just because we like a challenge that is Not of our own making.
The materials I used:
Cardstock - perfect Plum, pale Plum, whisper white.
Stampsets: En Francais Background, Forever Flowers, So many sayings.
Ink: Perfect plum, Pale plum.
tools and accessories: Styled silver hodgepodge flower brad, scallop edge punch, word window punch and corner rounder. I crimped the pale plum cardstock with my Crimper tool. Added some crystal effects to the flower centres and dusted it with dazzling diamonds glitter.
