Last day to Sale-a-brate! And a collage of stamps.

Look a photo taken outside in the sunshine, it has been raining here for 2 days now, must be easter long weekend approaching.
I made this card in the first week of March, it was one of those ideas percolating in the back of my brain.
The sentiment is on a large oval from the Sale-a-bration stampset Whimsical words:
"Follow your heart it knows the way"....which can apply to many situations and circumstances ... anyway, today is the last day of Sale-a-bration but I can see myself using these words on cards for quite a while yet.
Can you guess the stampsets that I have used on these?
They are exclusive stampsets that only hostess's can earn from having a workshop, or placing an order of $300 or more....
* Organic grace for the black outlined flowers and chocoate stems at the bottom,
...and Rustic rooster for the background script.
Of course I've sponged and rubbed the edges with my creamy caramel Ink pad and close to cocoa, too.
The base of the card is Confetti white cardstock with a layer of Basic black and the collage is all done on whisper white.
Chocolate chip Grosgrain ribbon completes the chocolate and cocoa story with dimensional foam dots to raise the large oval off the page.
I think the rain is easing up so have a Happy Easter everyone!

What can you do with Stazon - cotton white ink? Continued...

But wait, there's more!!!! In my last post I described three surfaces you can stamp on: glass, metal and gloss cardstock. Here are a few more: Vellum, cellophane, plastic and acetate.
4. Vellum cardstock -
I have stamped the great friend stamp on the white vellum card stock, and for some more definition I sponged some baja breeze ink over it when it was dry then attached the dark eggplant cardstock behind.
The enjoy stamp was stamped in white stazon on the vellum cardstock. I think it comes up best with dark cardstock behind and some sponging too. The card below I posted awhile back, using the white stazon to stamp the enfrancais background stamp.
5. Cellophane and Plastic bags.

How to dress up an ordinary lolly bag or gift bag?
Simple - a few delicate images from Organic grace hostess stampset in white stazon. It dries really fast and makes the bag look special. I have placed a piece of cardstock in the second bag to keep the package flat and add some colour and contrast.
6. Stamping on Acetate (does anyone still use overhead transparencies?) or you can ask for the clear plastic they put on the front of display books at any office supply shop.
The circle circus image has been stamped on the transparency then I have used a brad to attach it to some cardstock. You can make acetate cards with stamped stazon images. I have ideas of swirls and snow flakes drifting around ... with a photo behind for christmas cards.

You can see this Stamped overlay technique displayed in the mini spring catalogue on page 17.
If you would like to purchase any of these products shown send me an email or contact me so that you can create some of these projects at your place.

Organic Grace Sketch challenge SC20

I have just completed one of the latest Elite challenges and posted it on the site.
You can see others here: Sketch Challenge 20 Posted in SC 20 based on p11 of the 09/10 IB&C

The sketch (layout) is from the card on page 11 of the current 2009/10 Idea book and catalogue. Mine looks nothing like the original card but that is half the fun of a sketch challenge -you start out with the original sketch idea and use your own colours and a different stampset and base your ideas loosely around the starter card. Not really difficult this one I just flipped forward to page 17 and used the organic grace stampset and tried some soft light colours instead of the bright ones used.I am not sure if vanilla and white should be seen together, but I have always liked pink and cocoa together so there you go. A bit like a hot cocoa with cream and capuccino froth. (I am so glad that hardly anybody ever reads my blog).

The dragon flies and close to cocoa flower are raised up on dimensional adhesive and the frilly edge is from my new eyelet Border punch. The Pocket Silhouettes stampset provided the sentiment in regal rose ink.
