A File folder card on the Envelope punch board

I have had a couple of requests for a tutorial on how to make the File folder card.
Remember this card?
As we only have 2 weeks left of Saleabration I am using some lovely Sweet Sorbet papers.
You will need:
1 piece of A4 Cardstock cut to 14.9 cm x 27cm
Sweet Sorbet Patterned paper measuring 5.1 x 14 cm
                                                        And 9.5 x 14 cm
Step 1. Score the longest side at 5.5cm and 16.5cm.
2. Stick your patterned paper onto the cardstock. Smaller piece on the small panel, larger piece on the larger scored panel.
3. Using your envelope punch board measure 3" (or 7.5cm) and Punch a notch.
4. Slide it across to the edge and punch a half notch.
Here it is with the designer patterned paper on it. Showing the half notch and 3" measurement.
5. Next we move back to our stampin up cutter to remove one of the tabs.
6. Line up the deepest part of the notch with the groove in your cutter and put your cutting blade in the notch. Slide the blade down and cut off the lower tab.
Here it is after its cut off, showing how it looks with the DSP.
7. Next, we need to fold along the scored lines and add a glimmer paper flower, held on with a dimensional to hold the tab top closed.
Decorating with a couple of punched butterflies and rhinestone jewels.
8. Lastly, you might stamp your greeting in a matching ink.
I've used Tangerine Tango to match the cardstock colour.
And a piece of gold washi tape or you could use a piece of ribbon.
Materials -
Stampset: Bring on the Cake
Designer Series Paper: Saleabration Sweet Sorbet
Cardstock and ink: Tangerine Tango
Punches: Itty bitty butterfly, Pansy Punch, 7/8" scallop punch.
Dimensional foam dots, champagne glimmer paper, watercolour wonder washi tape.
Tools: Stampin' up! cutter and Envelope punch board (EPB).

Pansy punch on Pinterest Friday?

Any day can be pinterest creating day, I am never short for inspiration since I discovered this wonderful online resource.
Today's card is an almost direct case of one I found on Pinterest by Catherine Carroll http://www.ideasinkorporated.com/2013/08/quick-card-using-flower-shop.html
It is such a simple card using the new Pansy punch and the Flower Shop stamp set.
I am loving this colour combo - Elegant Eggplant for the stamping and Coastal Cabana polka dot patterned paper from "Afternoon Picnic" designer series paper.
And you have to love the rhinestones for flower centres.
Like to make one of these?
Come to my next stamping class or why not have a stamping up card making party at your place.

Dance teacher Thank yous

Our school dance group entered into the Hunter Dance Festival and danced beautifully on Friday night.
Every mother's eye gets a little damp when they see their daughter up on stage performing so confidently and gracefully to a beautiful  piece of music.
The girls and their teacher put in so much work, rehearsing each week.
Their dresses were  a soft blue with white ribbons and flowers in their hair. The cards I think reflect the texture and simplicity of their dresses.
One card I made with Pool party cardstock and the other in Coastal Cabana cardstock.
The Thank you greeting is from a hostess stampset (Postage Collection) and the frame is from a new stampset called Chalk talk and cut out with a Big shot die.
I have added some white ribbon and a Flower shop stamped flower punched out with the pansy punch.
I just love the coordinated look you can get with these tone on tone inks and cardstock.
The backgrounds are embossed with a new embossing folder called Beautiful Baroque.
Enjoy!!!

Flower shop thank you card

New stampset alert!
This really is my favourite time of year - seriously, beautiful crisp weather and a new annual catalogue to choose from.
Every time that parcel post man arrives at my door there's a new bundle of stamps and products to play with.
This bright little card is made with the flower shop stamps and matching punch.
Using some gorgeous in colours: Strawberry slush, Coastal Cabana, Bermuda Bay and Crisp Cantaloupe.
To make some dimension with these flowers I have used my bone folder to gently curl the petals upwards.
In the centre of each flower I've placed a different embellishment. A punched heart, a vintage faceted button, a flower brad, and a clay flower that I made at convention - coloured with crisp cantaloupe ink.
I think this size card makes a cute Thank you or ... You make me happy note card that would brighten someone's day don't you think?
Flower shop stamps (set of 6) $33.95 clear mounted
Pansy punch $27.95

You can find this stampset on page 94 of the annual catalogue and if you purchase as a bundle you can save and get 15% off!
