Today, we are celebrating the new Seasonal catalogue and Sale-a-bration by CASEing the catalogues.
What's a CASE I hear you ask?  CASE stands for Copy and Share Everything.
When I'm in need of inspiration I copy a card direct from the catalogue... Just pick a page, or pick a stamp set and copy a card from that page.

I've chosen to copy the card from page 17 of the Sale-a-bration catalogue.
The stamp set is called "Amazing You!" And as I dont yet have the framelits to cut out the word celebrate I changed it a bit to just use the stampset. I kept the ribbon, fussy cut the flowers and punched the label shape. I used what supplies I had to recreate the card as best I could.

The background as you can see, is a bit different. It uses the new Brusho watercolour crystals from the Seasonal catalogue.
They are quite addictive as each time you create a background its different from every other one and   I want to make more.

In the Seasonal catalogue on page 26, there are step by step directions on how to use the brusho powder. Basically, sprinkle the crystals, spritz with water and spread around with a brush.
There are so many other ways to use these coloured crystals.

ESAD occasions Catalogue blog hop

My cards all contain products and stamps from the Occasions and Saleabration catalogues:

This first project is a gift card holder made with some gorgeous Coastal Cabana cardstock and Saleabration patterned paper. Have a close look at the tag on the front it is punched with the newest Tag topper punch. Top and bottom of the 2" wide piece is punched so that there is a hole top and bottom to thread a ribbon through.

Pull on the ribbon at the top and out comes the gift card. A very simple gift card holder.

My second project uses the bow builder punch this is a favourite as is so easy to punch out a few pieces and stick them on with glue dots.

As you can see the tails of the bow can fold behind or below the bow. The words say Many Thanks, and are from the "Crazy For you" stamp set.

On my late night creative adventures I found a beautiful flower made with the build a bow punch. I had to have a go at it using some pretty floral paper like the Painted blooms DSP. My sentiment is also from the "crazy for you" Framelit and stamp bundle.

This morning I put my Butterfly Basics bundle to work to create this CASE of Deb Valder's acetate window she calls laser cut technique.

I've used some of the delicious Sahara sand lace ribbon and a "Something borrowed" embellishment to the ribbon.

So there are my four projects using stamps and products from the Occasions Catalogue and Saleabration catalogue.

A File folder card on the Envelope punch board

I have had a couple of requests for a tutorial on how to make the File folder card.

Remember this card?

As we only have 2 weeks left of Saleabration I am using some lovely Sweet Sorbet papers.

You will need:

1 piece of A4 Cardstock cut to 14.9 cm x 27cm

Sweet Sorbet Patterned paper measuring 5.1 x 14 cm

                                                        And 9.5 x 14 cm

Step 1. Score the longest side at 5.5cm and 16.5cm.

2. Stick your patterned paper onto the cardstock. Smaller piece on the small panel, larger piece on the larger scored panel.

3. Using your envelope punch board measure 3" (or 7.5cm) and Punch a notch.

4. Slide it across to the edge and punch a half notch.

Here it is with the designer patterned paper on it. Showing the half notch and 3" measurement.

5. Next we move back to our stampin up cutter to remove one of the tabs.

6. Line up the deepest part of the notch with the groove in your cutter and put your cutting blade in the notch. Slide the blade down and cut off the lower tab.

Here it is after its cut off, showing how it looks with the DSP.

7. Next, we need to fold along the scored lines and add a glimmer paper flower, held on with a dimensional to hold the tab top closed.

Decorating with a couple of punched butterflies and rhinestone jewels.

8. Lastly, you might stamp your greeting in a matching ink. 

I've used Tangerine Tango to match the cardstock colour.

And a piece of gold washi tape or you could use a piece of ribbon.

Materials -

Stampset: Bring on the Cake

Designer Series Paper: Saleabration Sweet Sorbet

Cardstock and ink: Tangerine Tango

Punches: Itty bitty butterfly, Pansy Punch, 7/8" scallop punch.

Dimensional foam dots, champagne glimmer paper, watercolour wonder washi tape.

Tools: Stampin' up! cutter and Envelope punch board (EPB).

For every $95 you spend on stampin' up! products you can choose a gift from the SAB caty for Free! But what to choose? 

Here are my faves from SAB this year and ideas of how to use them.

1. First is this gorgeous little banner punch. It makes perfect little bunting flags in patterned papers, foil papers, embossed papers or stamped images.

2. Sweet Sorbet patterned paper- this season is polka dotted, floral and striped in pretty sorbet colours.

3. The Sweet Sorbet accessory pack comes with printed adhesive backed cork and 9.1 metres each of crisp cantaloupe, Coastal Cabana and Summer star fruit twine. The papers, the flowers, the colours all coordinate.

4. Decorative Dots embossing folder when you roll this through the Big shot machine you get random spotted texture, you can ink it up or leave it plain. Just loving this texture.

5.  Seeya Later Alligator stamp set. The cards above all feature words from this set. Some have been stamped using Stampin' Write markers to ink up the words separately in different colours.

6.  Good as Gold Card kit.

Makes  8  "Thank you" AND "For you" cards. It includes 8  envelopes and shiny gold foil liners, and the coloured die cut  flags are already  printed and cut for you! 

Beautiful colours  of Bermuda  Bay, Tangerine Tango,  Pistachio pudding, Basic black, Sahara sand  and  gold. You can  copy  the  designs on  the  pack  or  branch out  and  do your own  thing.  The  printed labels  are in  three  languages: French, German and English - Merci, Danke, Thank you. 

With  a little  creativity and  extra card stock bases you could make  16 cards.  Just loving the gold  elastic  cord  and  Burmuda bay bakers  twine.

You have to see this kit in real life to appreciate the shiny gold dots and banners.

Paper clips and patterns ...

 I have tried to create a masculine style card ... with colours like Gumball green and Midnight muse inks, textured vine leaves, green ribbon and a metal paperclip.
I thought the pair of jeans from patterned occasions would be just the ticket.
Perhaps it is a female card after all.
So I have copied the next one from pinterest... a happy mothers day card with patterned tea cup and hearts.

 I think the arrow paper clip works well here pointing at the tag and the arrow of the gumball green ribbon directing the eye towards the cup.

Honey comb embossing folder meets nature walk

This card is one I dreamed up in my head as soon as I saw that honey comb embossing folder in the Seasonal mini catalogue. It is Autumn atlast the bees have been and gone from our garden. And I am noticing a few Autumn leaves on the footpath when we walk to and from school each day.

The honeycomb embossing folder is going to be a favourite.

The bee is from Nature walk (on page 79 of the main catalogue).

The honeycomb embossing folder is really easy to cut patterned paper (after its been embossed) as the embossing is very deep and pronounced. It looks great if you emboss some of our Core'dinations cardstock and sand the surface to reveal the lighter coloured core.

Sale-a-bration: Sycamore street papers, ribbon and buttons

 How is this for a perfectly easy Birthday card?

Bright coloured circles, patterned paper and buttons.

Deciding what bright colours to go with was pretty easy with this one. All I had to do was choose some of the colours from the Sycamore patterned paper pack and add circles of cardstock that echoed the ribbon and button colours. 

 Everything on this card (except for the cardstock and twine) is a free product available during

 Sale-a-bration (ends 22/3/2013).

Even the Vine Street embossing folder that I have used on the base card.

Sentimental about feeling sentimental?

There are only two days left of Sale-a-bration ... I am sharing this card as it features the Feeling sentimental stampset.

It could be a male or female card as the images are in the kind of non-gender colours of :Soft Suede, Cajun craze (terracotta) and Marina mist on  a Chocolate chip cardbase.

This stampset comes with the sentiment "Celebrate" in a nice script which I think goes well with the Postage Due background stamping.

Happy Birthday is from Itty Bitty banners only punched this time with the label punch.

And I have sponged edges and added a bitty butterfly punch too.

The card edge is textured with the lace border embossing folder.

Paper doilies and butterflies

 I know who would have thought Paper doilies would come back into fashion?
But the crafting world is going all vintage and there are many different ways to go vintage.
Grungy, Pretty, old world, shabby chic, monochrome... and colours too.

 On this card I have used a mix of products from the Autumn mini catalogue or Seasonal catalogue (for those northern climes who arent experiencing our beautifully warm Autumn) and some Saleabration products too.
I let the "Sycamore street" Designer series paper set the colour mood for this card.
It has lots of Pool Party ink and sponging (just love this pretty minty blue) and Island indigo to stamp the bicycle (from Feeling sentimental stampset)  and Happy birthday sentiment.
Love these little butterflies? I have punched them from the sycamore street paper (FREE during saleabration) using the Bitty Butterfly punch.
 The doily stands on its own no sponging needed, just layered on the naturals white cardstock.
Makes me think of cups of tea and butterfly cupcakes at my aunties country house in Scone...
