File folder card in new Season papers

The Stampin' Up! Seasonal catalogue goes live in just 3 days... So I can't show you any products but we can certainly enjoy a few sneak peek projects on my blog.
This beautiful designer series paper is called watercolour wonder and the colours are just pretty all round. Beautiful Tangerine Tango, crushed curry, daffodil delight all softly water-coloured on flowers, I just think the  strawberry slush goes perfectly with it.
But wait there's more, it opens up so that the file folder tab unlocks and reveals ...
Your message within and wouldn't it be easy to enclose a gift card in a pocket here too?
Inside stamping is with in-colour markers: strawberry slush, crisp cantaloupe and Pistacio pudding.
That's the Wild flower meadow stamp that I have inked for the very FIRST time.
Finding more and more projects to create with the envelope punch board every day.
My classes will star again soon.

Sale-a-bration ESAD blog hop

What is ESAD?
ESAD stands for "Extra Special Australasian Demonstrators" and it is an on-line group just for Australian and New Zealand Stampin' Up! demonstrators.
We love what we do and love to share with our customers, friends, and wonderful blog visitors. We also share what we love in our ESAD Demonstrator community, through swaps, challenges, sharing knowledge, ideas and friendship, and we're always there to help and support each other.

So if you are a Stampin' Up! demonstrator located in Australia then please feel free to leave me a comment with your Email address and I'll contact you with information on how to join our wonderful group.
Sale-a-bration starts on 28 Jan 2014 and runs to 31 March.
For every $95 you spend on stampin' up! products you can choose a gift from the SAB caty for Free! But what to choose?
Here are my faves from SAB this year and ideas of how to use them.

1. First is this gorgeous little banner punch. It makes perfect little bunting flags in patterned papers, foil papers, embossed papers or stamped images.
2. Sweet Sorbet patterned paper- this season is polka dotted, floral and striped in pretty sorbet colours.
3. The Sweet Sorbet accessory pack comes with printed adhesive backed cork and 9.1 metres each of crisp cantaloupe, Coastal Cabana and Summer star fruit twine. The papers, the flowers, the colours all coordinate.

5.  Seeya Later Alligator stamp set. The cards above all feature words from this set. Some have been stamped using Stampin' Write markers to ink up the words separately in different colours.
6.  Good as Gold Card kit.
Makes  8  "Thank you" AND "For you" cards. It includes 8  envelopes and shiny gold foil liners, and the coloured die cut  flags are already  printed and cut for you!
Beautiful colours  of Bermuda  Bay, Tangerine Tango,  Pistachio pudding, Basic black, Sahara sand  and  gold. You can  copy  the  designs on  the  pack  or  branch out  and  do your own  thing.  The  printed labels  are in  three  languages: French, German and English - Merci, Danke, Thank you.
With  a little  creativity and  extra card stock bases you could make  16 cards.  Just loving the gold  elastic  cord  and  Burmuda bay bakers  twine.

You have to see this kit in real life to appreciate the shiny gold dots and banners.
So, it is See ya later, Alligator ... come back soon to see the Seasonal Catalogue creations in a few days.

Masculine cards are all at sea

By request I have been dabbling in the male and masculine style of card making.
Fortunately a new Seasonal catalogue is just around the corner and my pre order has a beautiful background stamp that is just perfect!
The  background stamp is called "hardwood". It works so well with "The Open Sea" .
I chose Bermuda Bay and pool party inks to stamp the world map and ship sailing across the whisper white 6.6cm circle punch.
I was trying for a Sailing theme here with a port hole in the wood panel wall of a ship. Using a piece of vellum I stamped my ship in Bermuda Bay ink.
It lies beneath the layer of Slate grey cardstock with a port hole punched in a circle 4.4cm wide.
And this one I have stamped on velum, again, layered over a white 6.6cm circle which is kind of roughed-up around the edges.
Of course the boat-theme was just crying out for some rope and knotted twine. This one comes brand new in a Saleabration free pack of Sorbet coloured accessories.
The twine is attached with glue dots and a touch of two way glue pen.
The Happy birthday is a cute little sentiment from the Hostess rack called "Postage Collection".

It's going to be a boy!

It's a boy! It's a boy!
So excited ... I just had to send a gift and make a card to celebrate my friend's pregnancy...
This one is made with a very simple technique using the Bigshot Framelits and an embossing folder.
This new Framelit set cuts out cute little quote bubbles.
Perfect for announcing or congratulating or saying hello.
It does have a coordinating stampset that if you buy the  two together you get a bundle discount of 15% and who doesn't love a bargain?
This time I have used the "baby Prints" stamp set for the little hand print and "it's a boy" saying.
Then I've made an envelope with my EPB (that's an envelope punch board)...
And stuck the flap down with some gorgeous gold washi tape.

Last saturday night

Every now and then the Inksomniacs Team of stampers hold a Team get together to share our creativity, do some training and talk about whats new and exciting on the horizon. Linda Higgins (our upline) hosted the event, and there were beautiful projects on display by some talented local Stampin' Up! demonstrators.
We enjoyed a make and take designed by Linda featuring all new products and stamps coming out in the next Seasonal Catalogue.
We shared our projects we've been working on like the newest Smash book journals.
Card kit samples.
Washi tape, gold, silver, printed velum and more kits to make up bundles of cards.
Sue Mitchell demonstrated some amazing projects using the envelope framelits, flower dies, and patterned papers.

A CASE of Love you more

Just a  warning  this  stamp  set is  a limited time  set.  Yes it's perfect  for valentines day but  i m going to  be using it throughout the  whole year.
The secret to  a fabulous card like this is starting  with  a simple  layout, layering with texture, using colour that  coordinates and is  repeated in each  layer.
I  have  Cased this card  from our Stampin' Up !  demonstrator magazine called  IMPRESSIONS.
As a  demo  I get  many ideas  and inspiration from its  pages. And   with a  tiny  bit of  adjustment,  using slightly  different products from my  stash at home I make it  my own.
The love  you more  stamp set is only  available until 27  January, so let me  know if you'd like to put it on your next order.

A card in a box

Have you seen this card in a box that is spreading around on the Internet yet?
A lady by the name of Tanya Bell has made a great YouTube video so I followed her measurements and came up with this one.
The card looks far more complicated than it is. The base is made with one piece of cardstock and it can fold flat to fit into a standard C6 envelope.
You can see from this angle I have decorated the inside with punched out pansies and butterflies. The flowers are stuck to thin strips of acetate with mini glue dots. And the larger flower shop stamps adhered with dimensionals.
I have left the back panel partially blank so that I can write my message.
Here's how it looks laid flat for posting.
The patterned paper panels are a new DSP available FREE during Sale-abration. It's called
Sweet Sorbet and aren't the colours delish for Summer?

The envelope is the card - Envelope punch board project

I found this idea on pinterest recently. The card is an envelope and the envelope is the card...with a belly band. This is it - the Front:
And the Back:
Here it is closed with the belly band off and below the envelope-card open.
Making the envelope is as simple as following the measurements on the EPB.
For a 3x4 inch card, you need a 6x6 inch piece of paper
and make your first score line at 2 5/8", punch a notch out at this measurement, then
TURN the paper to the left.
For your second measurement you will line up the score line with the plastic prong,
Then score and punch.
It is about 3 1/2" just punch and score, turn left and line up the score line again.
Do all four sides and Fold up to make an envelope. Add your card and greeting to the inside panel. Then wrap the belly band around the outside, securing it with a stamped tag.
Stamps: label love, chalkboard, undefined hand carved "camera" stamp.
Paper: Soho Subway, coastal cabana, whisper white.
Silver ribbon, glue dots and dimensionals.
Envelope punch board. Label punch.
Ink: coastal cabana, island indigo.
