Epic day This and That journaling

I have created the front cover of a new This and That journal. They are so beautiful to write in and so easy to journal your thoughts on a special day.
Up close I have used a sticker from the kit and cut out some images from patterned papers.
Hexagon is the new shape I am seeing in advertising and interior design pictures ... stampin' Up! have a hexagon punch that fits into the textured embossing on the cover of the journal. And I have used a touch of grey striped washi tape too.
The main colour is Calypso coral with a touch of  Basic grey, white, pool party blues.
Using my two butterfly punches for detail with a pearl for some soft bling.

Epic Day this and That journal $18.95
Epic Day designer stickers $8.95
Epic day Washi tape (3 rolls) $8.95
Hexagon punch $27.95

Fabulous Fan Fare

These two cards have a very feminine feel about them.
Lots of lacy images and edges on a lacy brocade embossing folder with fluttering butterflies.
My new 2.5cm square punch is perfect for making mosaic artworks from Patterned papers. I have dearly loved the Fan Fair suite in the Annual catalogue this year with the scrapbook page size Eiffel Tower, french script, European map, vintage lace patterns, vintage keys, ruler and pretty fans.
There is never enough time to use up all my favourite pieces of patterned paper, but this design gives me a chance to feature a small square of several patterns on one card.
Here's the second one with a mosaic of similar inch squares stuck down in a grid pattern.
Card Recipe:
Ink: Wisteria Wonder
Cardstock: Wisteria Wonder, Whisper White, Concord Crush ( but would look just as good on Elegant Eggplant).
Patterned PAPER: Fan Fare Designer series paper (DSP)
Tools: 2.5 cm square punch, Elegant and Bitty butterfly punch, Modern Label punch and Pearls.
Big Shot: Lacy brocade embossing folder, Large scallop Edgelit and Delicate Designs embossing folder.

Simple butterfly - Papillon Potpourri

See I can do simple cards!
This one is based on texture and just two colours: the Elegant Eggplant and Pool Party colours go very well together don't you think?
My textured cardstock is created with the ever faithful Big shot machine... that I can not do with out.
Behind the butterfly is: Cloudy Day and on the base of the card: Lacy Brocade.
My cute little butterfly is a stamp from "Papillon Potpourri" punched with the Bitty Butterfly punch.
Don't miss those pretty pearls ... I said I have them on everything!
We could make this card at your place - contact me to book your party during May and remember you will receive a FREE Classic INK PAD from me AND $60 extra product when your order reaches $400!!!
Using the $120 worth of free product you could have a Big shot machine for only $50!

Fine Feathers and Papillon potpourri butterfly

I love feathers... in a hat, on a hair clip, a feather bower, from a bird, or on a card...
There has been a real interest in all things feathered in the crafting style trends.
Stampin' Up is right up there with new styles and trend with the gorgeous stampset called Fine Feathers.
What do you think of my card?
I have chosen a selection of greens and a touch of white and purple. Elegant Eggplant to be exact!
My gorgeous sister has a stash of feathers and shared some duck down with me to put on my card.
I think it's the same as the stamp I've used!
Fine Feathers (5 stamps) $22.95 clear mounted.

Just thinking...

That's the name of this single A la carte stamp. "Just thinking..."
It says: Thinking of you - Friend.
Do you ever send cards to friends with a photo or letter inside?
This one fits beautifully in a circular punch or framelit.
To create the coloured words I inked up the stamp rubber with my coloured markers.
Midnight Muse, Gumball green, Raspberry Ripple, Summer Starfruit and Primrose petals.
Behind the sentiment I have cut strips of patterned paper from various papers and layered a Bitty butterfly punch with pearls on top.

A new trifold card - Artistic Etchings

At crafters anonymous class on Monday night we created with a great new card fold.
I decorated mine with Artistic Etchings stamps and Fan Fair patterned paper.
Here is the front all decorated with stamps, punched butterflies, die cut sentiment, doilies and fussy cut  Eiffel tower (with pearls).
I felt so artisitic decorating the blank canvas with my favourite stamps and patterned paper.
It is made with just one piece of double sided patterned paper. Eight inches by 12 inches and cut diagonally in half. This card will be going to a very special friend... I think.
Card Recipe:
Stampset: Artistic Etchings, Memorable Moments.
Designer series paper: Fan Fair
Paper Doilies
Cardstock: Very Vanilla.
Ink: Basic Grey, Crumb cake, Versamark.
Embossing powder: Pool Party. Heat tool, Big shot, Labels collection framelit Die,
Elegant Butterfly and Itty butterfly punches, Pearls, Stampin' Trimmer, dimensionals.
And here it is from the back, showing the very vanilla stamped panel to write your message on the back. Here I added some scallop circles and an embossed Eiffel tower (avec pearl).

Cyber stamp Challenge 2

My second challenge attempt is the colour challenge.
The challenge is to use Raspberry Ripple, Pool Party, Sahara Sand and very Vanilla.
Plus use texture, texture, texture!
My card uses the "thinking of you" stamp inked up with markers in the challenge colours.
For texture - cloudy day embossing folder, sponged with pool party ink, and a piece of Sahara card stock embossed with the fancy fan folder.
I've added Stitched Raspberry ribbon and pool party Satin ribbon, a button and punched butterflies with pearls for more textures to touch and feel.
Lastly, I sprayed it with champagne shimmer mist. I think you can see the glitter in one of the photos where I asked jess to shine a torch on it while I took the photo.

Masking and the embedded emboss.

Take one paper doily and four butterflies...
This technique is very easy but looks really effective.
In the card above I have masked using a paper doily and some punched butterflies.
All you need is a paper doily, a bit of tape (to stick it down temporarily - I just use some snail and touch it with my finger a little to make it less tacky) and use that to hold the doily to the page while I sponge around it. Make sure you get into all the little holes.
When you peel it off you may need to rub the glue off with an eraser.
Next punch out 3 or 4 butterflies and lightly stick them to your cardstock.
Sponge again in different colours.
I have chosen to leave the butterflies in place at the top and bottom - just lifting their wings of the page.
Lastly, because I love textural embossing, I have run the whole sheet of cardstock through the Big shot machine using the Square Lattice embossing folder.
Two techniques on the one card: masking and embedded embossing.

Sentimental about feeling sentimental?

There are only two days left of Sale-a-bration ... I am sharing this card as it features the Feeling sentimental stampset.
It could be a male or female card as the images are in the kind of non-gender colours of :Soft Suede, Cajun craze (terracotta) and Marina mist on  a Chocolate chip cardbase.
This stampset comes with the sentiment "Celebrate" in a nice script which I think goes well with the Postage Due background stamping.
Happy Birthday is from Itty Bitty banners only punched this time with the label punch.
And I have sponged edges and added a bitty butterfly punch too.
The card edge is textured with the lace border embossing folder.
