Friday card class

This Friday we made two projects at card class.
For our first project we made "the envelope is the card".
A simple card idea that you could put on the top of gifts, or use as a gift card holder. The easiest part is making the envelope using the envelope punch board. We have used the absolutely beautiful " Venetion Romance" double sided patterned paper. It reminds me of old hard cover book inserts with marbling, ornate ceilings and vintage wallpaper.
The insert is a piece of Pool Party cardstock with embossed scallops. The decoration in the first one are punched Petite Petals and the second could be used for man or woman with just the "Label Love" stamps to decorate the inside.
The outsides are decorated with a 2.5cm belly band and some glimmer paper punched out with the Artisan label punch.
Our second project is a Birthday card using the fabulous new "Scalloped tag topper" punch which I showed you earlier. So many cool things to do with this punch. Not just tags!
Those splatter marks are stamped with the "Gorgeous Grunge" stamp in Coastal cabana, Baked Brown Sugar and Tangerine Tango.
Did you miss this class?
We can run this class at your place or give me a call and come along next Friday. Nerida 0n 0468877125.

Epic day This and That journaling

I have created the front cover of a new This and That journal. They are so beautiful to write in and so easy to journal your thoughts on a special day.
Up close I have used a sticker from the kit and cut out some images from patterned papers.
Hexagon is the new shape I am seeing in advertising and interior design pictures ... stampin' Up! have a hexagon punch that fits into the textured embossing on the cover of the journal. And I have used a touch of grey striped washi tape too.
The main colour is Calypso coral with a touch of  Basic grey, white, pool party blues.
Using my two butterfly punches for detail with a pearl for some soft bling.

Epic Day this and That journal $18.95
Epic Day designer stickers $8.95
Epic day Washi tape (3 rolls) $8.95
Hexagon punch $27.95

Catalogue launch

Last night we launched the newest 2013-14 Stampin' Up! Annual catalogue.
What a great night we had!
My Team of gorgeous ladies got to play with products and take home their very own copy of the
2013-2014 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalogue !
We had chevron patterned party bags and lots of new stamps and punches to create with.
Our display tables were running over with cards, boxes, bags and gift package ideas.
There were washi tape cards, My digital studio printed cards, books and samples to browse.
Here's a shot of the room with about half the tables in view. Linda is up front welcoming all our lovely customers and demonstrators present.
They all got a lot more rowdy after this photo was taken and the ink started flowing.
What is it with women, you get out the ink and the cardstock and its uncontrollable laughter and hilarity! I don't think my table could hear a thing I said, they just followed along with what it looked like I was doing. May be that's why every card comes out so very different from each other.
Here are some more cards from the display tables. Showing Tanya's washi tape card, butterfly and qurattrafoil designs.
My ladies all took home three finished projects, some clay sample flowers, a prize patrol gift, a new catalogue and of course some lollies too.  I'd call that a successful evening and i can't wait to do the next one! If you missed this catalogue launch don't despair, there are many BEAUTIFUL & FUN new products for you to enjoy in the catalogue and I am happy to come and do a launch at your place.
In the mean time ...
You can view the catalogue online at the following link. Enjoy!

Idea display boards - random projects

One of the best things about Convention is being able to browse the project boards.
After each general session the projects demonstrated are then put out on display so we can get a closer look in real life. Shelli had a whole board and table for her items. She scrapbooked her new hobby that she shares with Sterling... horse riding.
This clean and square scrapbook page caught my eye. The splatters in the background are a new stampset. I think I can make this with the new stampsets we received in our convention bag.
Here is another very simple but gorgeous Shelli card. Thank you cards look so elegant like this.
A more elaborate gold embossed card that I just love... going to case (copy and share) this layout.
Now the one above is a box calendar/ Diary. Bonnie Thurber showed how she made this one. There is a card for every day of the year...
Loving the Post card stamp ... washi tape and date stamp!
A baby card so smple yet cute with the doily and chevrons.
How cute is this bag? Made with Designer series paper, acetate and washi tape to bind the edges and the handles. The flowers are scrunched, squashi washi tape... (I think someone made that one up).
Then next is another one of Shelli's simple but elegant cards using washi tape stamps and a button with a natural feather for texture and dimension.
How exciting ... this was one of my swaps this year with a duck feather, delicate doily and ribbon attached. I thought a button would have been too much, but maybe not.
A close up of my card with duck feather !!!!!
