Teacher's gift

Its that time of year when we make calendars, notebooks and gift boxes to say thank you to teachers. Whether it's just thanks for putting up with my child for 4 terms or thanks for something more, or like me you just like wrapping up parcels of chocolate, biscuits and tea bags in cardstock and ribbons.
So this is what I have made today. A kind of emergency kit for the school day.... what every teacher will appreciate: a strong cup of tea, gingerbread biscuits and some chocolate !
Recipe:
Whisper white and cherry cobbler cardstock
Ink: Early Espresso, cherry cobbler and Gumball green.
Stamps: Scentsational Season, Musical notes wheel,
Builder wheel: Snowflake party and Good cheer.
Tools: Blossom punch, small scallop circle, snow flake die, Big shot.
Word window punch.
Scallopped tulle ribbon: cherry cobbler and Crumb cake.
Simply scored tool.

Scentsational Christmas

Well there are six more days of school for my little one and we have been making cards for all the girls in the class. We attached a chocolate bell to each card and Jess handed them out at school on monday.
It is a lovely time of year to share something nice with your friends.
Jess's first card was a little time consuming to replicate 16 times so we decided to go with the Christmas tree and star from the Scentsational Season stampset. With a few gingerbread men stamped inside.
Note card Recipe:
Cardstock: whisper white
Stampsets: Scentsational Season, Merry Minis and Owl occasions (for the sentiment)
Ink: Gumball green, Real Red, More mustard and Midnight Muse.

Scentsational Season

Here's to wishing you Peace on Earth and a Scent-sational season!
This one started as a CASE of the Peace on Earth card on page 8 of the Holiday catalogue.
I liked the Banner / Flag shape of the stamped panel and I was going to put the Peace on Earth circle in the middle of the Glimmer Paper scallop, but decided I just had to use the gingerbread man which relegated the peace on earth to the bottom right hand side.
Just loving this Designer Series patterned paper - Snow Festival - with the neighbourhood houses, trees and snow flakes from page 10.
It looks really lush layered on top of the Cherry Cobbler Core'dinations paper that I have crumpled and distressed.
My second card is a paired back version using the Christmas tree image within the scalloped circle and a piece of Snow Festival Paper on top of gumball green cardstock.
The background is stamped with Sahara Sand ink on Sahara Sand Cardstock.
I have stamped the Daydream Medallions randomly so they look a tiny bit like snowflakes.
I think the sahara sand cardstock works well with the blues and greens, while the crumb cake card goes better with Cherry Cobbler and reds. What do you think?
Greetings of the Season $21.95
Scentsational Seasons $25.95
Snow Festival DSP $18.95

Launch nigth party!

It was a very big night...
I want to say Thank you to the eight beautiful, lovely ladies who came to my launch night on Saturday!
We made three projects and used a pile of new products from the new Annual Catalogue and the Seasonal catalogue.
In the hall we had seventy or more women, crafting, talking, making cards and gifts and learning new techniques.
A great chance to catch up with friends we haven't seen for such a long time.
I hope you all had fun?
We played with the new Core'dinations cardstock, embossed with woodgrain and sanded it to reveal its different coloured core.
These gorgeous little owls were certainly a hit. We punched them out from the Snow Festival Designer Series paper (DSP) with the 1" circle punch. She is peeking through the 1 1/4" circled hole in her tree.
We tried a new paper fold, scoring it with the Simply Scored Tool and embellishing it with new Apothecary Accent Framelit dies.
I was so busy all night at my table, I didn't have time to photograph the sample table, or our completed projects on the night, so this one doesn't show the new butterfly punch we used.
Every launch night needs a 3 D item, a gift you take home to give away, or use yourself.
I designed this note book holder that you can keep your Christmas lists. All those friend and family gift lists and christmas card lists in.
We used the Big shot for the Oval Accent die which folds down over the top and is embossed with another new embossing folder called Lacy Brocade.
The flap is secured beneath a 40cm piece of Scalloped Tulle ribbon, so easy to tie and make look pretty.
Hanging from the tulle bow is a gingerbread man (isn't he fabulous?) and the note book is covered with more Snow festival paper.
Very tired this morning - I had fun -What a way to launch two amazing new catalogues!
Our three projects only scraped the surface of all the new things on offer.
