Vintage dressing with established elegance

 Here's something I whipped up this morning at 6am, when you just can't sleep another moment.

Too much on my mind I guess.

Any way I feel almost like a seamstress after making this card.

The challenge this month is to make something vintage.

 I designed the card using lots of product from the Autumn mini catalogue.

One of the BEST products in the mini is the Artisan Embellishment kit.

It contains ribbon, lace, buttons, tags - a whole lot of pretty to make beautiful things with.

I have used all the bits that say dress making - some of the poetry printed paper with dressmaking instructions (like your mum used to use).

Seam binding ribbon - crumpled and stuck on with some snail adhesive along the back.

A vintage button tied with bakers twine and the "dress" is a piece of very sheer lace.

I have used the gorgeous oval shaped lace to make a "dress" on my seamstress dummy.

The button is also from the kit and I have tied it with a piece of white baker's twine and then added some white cardstock embossed and cut with the large scallop edgelit on the bottom.

Autumn Winter mini launch party photos

 On Sunday we made 3 projects and were treated to a fabulous array of card ideas on the display table.

There were too many to photograph all in one shot so here are a couple of arrangements.

 In the centre of the table there, you can see the Lucky door prize - a free stampset from the new mini catalogue called Bright Blossoms.

 Here are the beautiful and gorgeous ladies with me at my table.

Munching on Easter eggs and loving the new Framelit dies that we demonstrated with the big shot.

 Oh and here they are again! With Linda's table in the background ...

Stampin' up launch party!

On Sunday we held our Stampin' Up!

 Autumn/Winter mini launch party!

The girl guides have a great little hall just down the road and what a great afternoon we had making cards and Easter projects.

I just love the products in the new mini - new stampsets, new Designer Series papers, new punches, new pleated satin ribbon and scented embossing powders.

There are ofcourse the new tools:

The Score pal, Edgelits, Framelets and embossing folders...

 Here are some photos of the projects we made close up:

Starting with this cute little Easter Egg purse.

 It is made with the new Big shot die cutting products called "Edgelits".

And, we stamped the flower  from "Mixed Bunch" using the coordinating punch for these gorgeous, beautiful and unique flowers in next to no time! I can see many projects with these flowers in patterned papers and cardstock layers.

 Our next project was a Thank you card ... which you could give to your mum - Thanks for the Support!

This stampset is called "Rue De Fleurs".  It is in a gorgeous antique style that would suit all your girly cards and pages. It coordinates with the "Attic Boutique" Designer series paper which I just love!

 The images are very delicate and divine to watercolour with - using blender pens and ink.

 Our third project used the newest Big shot die -

 "Elegant Bird" from the twitterpated product suite.

Cut out of the pretty Attic Boutique papers and embossed with the hearts from Adorning Accents folders.

A very feminine card this one featuring the frills and scallops of the Edgelit dies.
