Bloomin' Marvellous in gumball green

This layout speaks to my need for balance and colour.
This card features four Sale-a-bration products.
The stampsets: Bloomin' Marvellous and  Pretty Petites and the matching curly label punch.
Not to mention that lovely Vine street embossing folder on the background cardstock.
This and the next card are really easy to make - ink, stamp, punch and stick them on.
Here's the second card - even a little simpler in colours and punching!
Stampset: Bloomin' Marvellous and Vintage Verses.
Two square punches and a piece of the SAB ribbon in Island Indigo.
My bird is rocked in both Pool party and Island Indigo inks while the butterfly is in Summer starfruit and Island Indigo.
Would you like to make either one or both of these cards?
Give me a call, or text, or email to lock in your date for some stamping time.

Sycamore street scrapbooking

OMG I scrapbooked!!!
As the title suggests it was Jessie's school fete back in October.
Why? Because I have new patterned papers and I am not, not, not a hoarder.
I will use my scrapbooking supplies - paper, ink, cardstock, new buttons, and twine.
So featuring the new Designer series paper "Sycamore street" are bunting circles strung on some linen thread showing both sides of the patterned paper. Are you liking it?
Then three fluttering butterflies punched out of Sycamore stree paper and embellished with rhinestones, no less. The journalling is a little on the light side but has the date, place and what we did.
And last but not least, the scallop circle punch and window frames collection framelits to frame my photo.
I was working on the craft table for most of the day selling crafts and raffle tickets, as you do.

Feeling Sentimental on Vine street

Today I am featuring the Sale-a -bration stampset: Feeling sentimental.
The set includes images of a bicycle, ferris wheel and Telephone box (or if blue could well be the Tardis).
The sentiment is Celebrate, which is a good all occasion stamp for Birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, babies, parties, promotions, life...
I have tried to keep the layout clean and simple.
But with a vintage feel so I have rolled the edge of the flag, sponged a little and used the french foliage stampset for some splashy mud marks. I CASE'd this rolled flag idea from Anne Schach, it gives such an antique look, like it is unfurling before you.
And the background embossing I have done with my Big shot and the Vines street embossing folder (another sale-a-bration free product on offer with every $100 you spend).
But wait there's more ....
The patterned paper is from the free Sycamore street DSP, Plus the button and the ribbon come with another free set on offer.
I really like this colour combination - Sahara sand, Island Indigo and Early Espresso.

Feeling sentimental in three designs

Last week of the summer holidays here. In between visiting friends and chilling at home I have made a few cards with the new sale-a-bration stampsets.
I have really been experimenting with different styles to feature the "Feeling sentimental" stampset.
Which one is your favourite?
Oh so simple is this technique of using the Clear stamp blocks as rectangular stamps.
As you can see I have stamped the A block in summer star fruit, H block in Pool Party and the D block in sahara sand.
My Ferris wheel is stamped with Early Espresso and the universal "Celebrate" greeting up the top.
I have added a button, tied with a linen thread bow, and finished with a flag of patterned paper from the Sycamore street DSP pack.
The Second card is inspired by red telephone boxes we had many decades ago for public phones.
I have created a window in the front of the card with my Window Frames Collection framelits.
The "hello" sentiment is from another Sale-a-bration FREE set called Pretty Petites and a matching Petite curly label punch.
For someone who can only coordinate her shoes with an outfit if they're black I love how stampin' Up's products co-ordinate so beautifully.
Check the  Raspberry Ripple stitched ribbon, the patterned paper, ink and cardstock in the same gorgeous deep red the colour of raspberries.
And to complete the collection is this penny farthing bicycle.
Have you got your Sale-a-bration on yet?

Affection Collection (only one week left)

I have two cards for you today.
Both of them designed with the same stampset "Affection Collection". This is a stampset I intend to keep in my collection for a long time. I love the heart with wings the style of the words: friend, Love, always, No#1...
This might be a valentine card, anniversary or a just because I love you card.
What do you think?
My second card is a friendship card, made with whisper white and Raspberry ripple cardstock.
The card is made with only one stampset, one ink pad and one set of framelits.
Just love this layered effect of the same shape.
Featured Stampset: Affection collection
(only available until 31 January 2013 from the Seasonal Catalogue)
Remember any purchases from this catalogue will now get you Sale-a-bration free sets for every $100 you (or your friends) spend from 22/1 to 22/3.

A Diary for 2013

Getting ready for the year ahead ... each year I decorate a diary around this time.
This one was very easy. As you can see I have cut a piece of patterned paer, stamped an appropriate phrase: "oh happy day", with a piece of matching Raspberry Ripple ribbon.
I tied on some black ribbon with beads and knotted the ends for book marking. Then, a trinket charm to remind me to take time out for a mug of tea. (as if I needed reminding).
Another sneak peek from the seasonal catalogue coming out very soon.

My early Birthday present from Stampin' Up!

OK, its not my birthday until next month, but stampin'up let me choose a stampset for my birthday already... just love such a generous company.
So this is the card I have made with my gift.
The stampset is called Papaya Collage.
I copied the colours (Gumball green, Soft suede and Calypso Coral) from the card in the annual catalogue and did some fussy cutting with my sharp paper snips for the bird and flower.
The butterfly wings fit snuggly into my stampin up butterfly punch.
A few pearls to embellish ... stamped in 30+ degree heat.

Jess turned ten and I actually made her a card on time and that she really liked!
Her favourite colour is red.
Raspberry ripple being the particular red that she likes when it comes to cards.
Butterflies and lots of bling!
Of course the invitations were red and stamped with a penguin (from zoo review) and lots of dazzling glitter on hearts and and wings.
