Butterfly print birthday treat

Here's one I made a little while ago. Its a birthday card but could easily double as a Valentines day card with those hearts and a different sentiment.
The colours are rich regals and Bold brights with a touch of in colour Kiwi kiss to contrast with the Elegant eggplant card base.
Inside the sweet treat cup are cut out butterflies from Flight of the Butterfly and rolled pieces of patterned Designer Series paper on a Passionate pink background.
The hello again hearts are covered with Crystal effects for a glossy shiny finish.
My Favourite part though are the punched Butterfly print images held on with brads
to their pink and purple shadows.
What you need to make this card:
Stampsets: Butterfly prints, hello again, Sweet birthday, Flight of the butterfly.
Cardstock: kiwi kiss, elegant eggplant, passionate pink, whisper white.
Ink passionate pink, Elegant eggplant.
Punches: butterfly, word window, 1 3/4" circle.
Other: Sweet treat cup, Designer series paper, crystal effects, vintage brads, dimensional foam dots.

Journey ... scrapbook page

Do you remember I posted this 6"x6" scrapbook page that I completed at the Regional Training Day? Well I thought I would show you the finished scrapbook page after I added a few more photos and ribbon.

When I added my photo of my daughter playing at the edge of the water I decided I would need to add some of the colours from her swimming costume to make it suit the page. The kraft cardstock matched the sand OK, so the pink corner scallops and scalloped edge brought the colour elements together.

I liked the idea of the three scallop squares down the side for the felt flower, button and the wheeled pattern with the heart. The last one is just big enough to add a few journalling details like the date and place.

I have wheeled the retro wheel down the left hand side beside a piece of Old Olive grosgrain ribbon.
I like how it has a scattering of starbursts, hearts and leaves with dotted swirls between them.
And in my opinion a scrapbooking page can never have too many butterflies so I stamped some butterflies, cut them out and added them on to flowers, hearts and a dotted white line for decorative effect.

Stampsets used: Hello again, Retro wheel, Life Definitions, alphabet.
Inks: Chocolate chip, Rose red, Old Olive.
Cardstock: Old Olive (textured), chocolate chip, pink passion, rose red, whisper white.
Tools: Square scallop, scallop edge, white singo gel pen, Designer series buttons, silver brads, Felt fusion flowers and Old Olive grosgrain ribbon.
Enjoy!!

Elite challenge - Sketch challenge 28.

It is more than half way through December and I have only just created my Elite Challenges card for the month. But I have actually entered three challenges: The Sketch challenge (SC28) The colour challenge called Sugar plum fairy AND the stampset challenge (SSC - Hello Again).

The colours to use in the colour challenge were: Perfect Plum, Pale plum, Pink Piruouette and Kraft.
I have used the Hello Again stampset from the Summer mini, using the starburst randomly as a background, and the butterflies, flower and heart as elements to meet the sketch challenge. Which comes from the sketch layout on page 19 of the summer mini catalogue.

The button used is from the Designer Buttons (the pink pirouette one) I think I attached it upside down with a dimensional so that the shiny side was upwards. The butterflies, heart and flower centre are coated in Crystal effects and then raised on dimensionals.

I have punched  the circle out of the Bella Rose Designer Series Paper with the 1 3/4" circle punch. Layering the Hello again flower on top with dimensionals for height. Enjoy!!!
